Il mangiatore di pietre

In einem abgelegenen Tal im Piemont findet der frisch aus dem Gefängnis entlassene, ehemalige Schmuggler Cesare die Leiche seines Neffen Fausto. Die beiden haben einst zusammengearbeitet. Dies endete jedoch, als Fausto begann mit Drogen zu handeln. Unter der Leitung von Kommandant Boerio nimmt die örtliche Polizei die Aufklärung des Mordes auf und schon bald gerät Cesare ins Visier der Ermittler. Nur die Mailänder Kommissarin Sonia di Meo blickt hinter die Fassade. «Il mangiatore di pietre» ist die Verfilmung von Davide Longos Bestseller «Der Steingänger», der aufgrund des aktuellen Flüchtlingsdramas nichts von seiner Brisanz eingebüsst hat.
