Edward Scissorhands

Das Kantikino widmet sich heuer unterschiedlichsten Monstern im Kino. In «Edward Scissorhands» von Tim Burton mit Johnny Depp und Winona Ryder geht es um ein künstlich erschaffenes Menschenwesen, das Scherenhände hat, weil sein Schöpfer stirbt, bevor er sein Werk vollendet hat. Künstlich ist allerdings auch die Gesellschaft, in der dieses Märchen spielt. Das «Monster» wird solange akzeptiert, als es Büsche und Hecken zu Figuren trimmt. Die Integration gelingt fast, aber dann wird Edward doch gejagt und flieht. Das Monster muss Aussenseiter bleiben. Vor dem Film gibt es eine kundige und anregende Einführung.
